Well, the holidays are over and things are calming down. Like most of you I have been very busy and frankly, it took this long to get over the sting of losing in the finals on the Leroys Handicapping contest. I finished the contest with the best overall record and lost in the finals. (see earlier entry for details on that).
Things are back to normal and we are wrapping up a GREAT football season. I had both winners last weekend on teams to make it to the Super Bowl and am excited about the Super Bowl weekend. As always, I will be in Las Vegas with my staff, some friends and some of my clients to spend some of our profit from the season. If you are one of those guys that are having a "down turn" in your portfolios, make a mental note that my clients are having a great year and a lot of my clients are showing a 30 to 40 % profit in their accounts. Speaking about money, I did think that one thing is clear at the University of Oklahoma, THEIR FOOTBALL PLAYERS HATE MONEY. I am all for getting your education but I cant see the logic in not going pro for a few of the OU players. If I was a huge OU fan, I would feel like I had just won the lottery. Even if you think Bradford might rise in the draft with a good year, Mccoy and Grisham will likely fall in draft and/or make the same money entering the NFL and are risking injury! I don't see it but whatever, money isn't everything especially if you hate it.
Leaving for Florida to buy THE FAT AND SASSY #3. Woohoo!! I loved my boat and sold it more than a year ago. I am getting another one and it should make for great radio and help keep my blood pressure down. Now, some of you are saying " Jack, didn't you run your last boat into a National Park in the Keys?" Yes, the last boat ended in a terrible accident in the Keys and a very expensive fine from the NOASOO or something like that for the sea grass damage in the park but this time is going to be different. I am going to take a class! Stay tuned for more on this a we go thru the Spring. All Aboard!!!
