TRAVELING WITH FAMILY

Well, Christmas is over. We left Orlando today and drove to Ft. Lauderdale. The 3 hour drive was filled with laughing, crying and the occasional beating. My mother is with us now. To read more about my struggles with aging parents see my last blog entry. My mother is the one that raised me and so is a lot closer to my family than my dad. This is good and bad. My mother and wife had a little fight today. I have enough to control in this group with my 2 kids that I really need those 2 to get along.

We are at the airport waiting to go to the Bahamas. We are flying on Bahamas Air. I have flown on Bahamas Air about 6 times and they have NEVER been on time. NEVER. They are currently 1 1/2 hours late and handing out crappy airport food vouchers. They are saying a bird flew into the windshield of the plane and are having to get it fixed. I think they are lying. If I owned an airlines that is the excuse I would use. How can you complain about that, you need a windshield to fly.

My 5 year old daughter just asked how old I was. I said 37. She yelled " 37 you are big!!!" What am I suppose to do with crappy airport food vouchers. Do they only own 1 plane? How about calling in a back up plane. I don't know if I want to be the test flight for the new window anyway. What if some local smoked too much hooch before installing this "window" what if it doesn't work?

My daughter is crying now. I asked her in my best Bahamian accent " little girl, whats you cryin bout?" she answered " my coloring book is under the stinkin plane!!"

Maybe my wife and mother will have a cage match to help pass the time.

I am going to try and find a television. We have won EVERY bowl game I have released. I am 11-1 in football over the last 10 days . Things are going great. Have a good week. I will make an entry from the Bahamas and keep you updated.

VEGAS AND THEN CHRISTMAS WITH FAMILY

Well, I want to wish all of you a merry Christmas. I arrived in Orlando yesterday to spend the holidays with my family that flew down here last week when I headed to Vegas for the Las Vegas bowl.

Speaking of Vegas. I decided to take my father to Vegas with me. I was mainly raised by my mother as my parents divorced when I was young. In recent years my dad and I have grown a lot closer. What he lacked in being a father he MORE than makes up for with my kids. He is a great grandfather and for that I am thankful. I decided to take him so we could have some "quality" one on one time. That may have been a mistake. I love him a lot but apparently in recent years he has lost his freakin mind! like a lot of you, I am adjusting to my parents getting older and the changes that come with that. When you consider he is a simple Oklahoman that doesn't travel much and the fact that years of drinking ETC. have altered his mind, it was a recipe for disaster. I gave him a few hundred dollars to play with. He was broke in about 3 hours. I gave him a couple hundred more along with a strong warning that he needed to make it last. He was broke by 10pm. What made it worse is that my selections were 9-1 last week and it never crossed his mind to put a few dollars on those winners!! When dinner came around, I said "hey dad, how about stepping away from the wheel of fortune machine and lets go eat." "What sounds good?" His response, " Is there a place we can get a couple of hamburgers and a carton of milk?" I don't know how many of you have enjoyed the culinary excellence Vegas has to offer but it is harder than you think to find a great burger and milk joint. He went to bed around 7pm and woke up at 4am wanting a big breakfast. I went to bed around 2am and woke up around 10am not giving a crap about breakfast. Eggs are eggs! Who cares where we eat breakfast!!!

Overall, I am glad I took him. We dont spend as much time together as we should and this was a trip we will both always remember. That is what the holidays are suppose to be about. Making memories. Merry Christmas. I will make another entry tomorrow. I have had a lot going on and want to catch you up.

WINNING AND VEGAS A GOOD COMBINATION

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. As with most of you, this is a very busy time. I am leaving for Vegas on Thursday. One of the things I am having the opportunity to do is go to Vegas and speak to people that are in Vegas on company vacations about how "not to go broke" while in Vegas. Most seminar go-ers in Vegas are not "gamblers". They go to Vegas for their company trip and all of a sudden become "Kenny Rogers". They pull up to a blackjack table, order a Corona and sit there until they have a headache and are broke. When they go home, they are hungover and couldn't tell you one thing they heard in the meetings they attended. This is where I can help. I go in and give these guys a crash course in responsible gambling. I explain how they can have a great time while setting some limits with their money and their behavior. I teach them how to play the other casino games. I help them set a budget and give them a "plan of attack" while gambling on their business trip. Any WINNING gambler will tell you that discipline and structure are the keys to winning. The Las Vegas bowl is going on this weekend and the company I am meeting with is a sponsor of the game.

I am really running good right now. We were 7-2 last week in hoops and are winning 2 out of every 3 selections I release. This is a good thing. My Monday night record is now 16-4 and I haven't lost on Monday night in 2 months. This is a great time to get hot. Not only is it great for the clients that are spending Christmas money. It is great because I sound a lot more creditable when I am talking to upper management guys in Vegas. They have been getting my selections for about a month as part of my speaking package. It is a way for me to get "street cred" with the rich folks. lol

If you are thinking about betting on the Bowl Games, now is a great time to get signed up. We are playing 4 games for double our average bet and are getting ready to send a holiday scud missile into our books house. Have a great week and I will make an entry from Vegas to let you know how it's going.

I CAN LEAD SOME TO WATER....

There are some things that I have admitted that I will never understand. How a satellite works, would be one. I understand that a "signal" is sent into outer space ect. I just know that when  Mr. Satellite or whoever invented that process,is thinking on a different level than I am. I guess we all have our strengths.

One thing I may never understand is the way some gamblers think. If you ask most gamblers, they would tell you that they gamble 70% for fun and 30% to win money. If they are honest, those #s are more like 80-20. The point is that realistic gamblers that walk into a casino understand it is HARD to win money.

That is why when I prove to my clients that I can help them make money I am confused by their hesitation to sign up.

Here is what I mean...

This season I decided to offer a MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL only package. You get the entire season of MNF selections for only $99.00!!That is a great deal. Last season I went 18-3 on Monday nights. I thought this would be a great way to allow a guy that didn't think he could afford to sign up to get some selections to win at least on Mondays. Most people that will lose all week on their own but because they are getting my winning selections on Monday nights will see they cant afford not to sign up and get the rest of the selections.  This package was very popular and about 200 clients took advantage of this great Monday night deal.

Well, even after a 15-4 start this season on Monday nights, I still have some of these guys that haven't signed up for a monthly or season package. I don't understand this behavior!  I suppose there are a few guys that only bet on Monday nights. If that is the case, I understand. For most I suspect their week goes something like this...

They lose $55.00 on Thursday.  Maybe they win $50.00 on Fridays.  Some Saturdays they win and lose on Sunday or maybe the other way around.  By Monday morning on most weeks these guys are down somewhere between $50.00 and $300.00 bucks.

Then, the Fat Jack Monday night selection swoops in like Superman to save the day. With a 15-4 record you can see that MOST weeks we win and some weeks we go 2-0 on Mondays.

Now this is where I get confused. If it was me I would see that after being thirsty for a winning week since Thursday, it took the fat Jacks Monday night package to finally give me water! I would say " boy I sure would like to drink the winning selections ALL WEEK LONG!!"  " maybe I should call 1-800-298-1383 or go to www.thefatjack.com and sign up for a ALL YOU CAN DRINK BUFFET for less than $7.00/selection."

I guess if everyone won money betting on games than there wouldn't be anyone to take the bets but I do wish those guys that were smart enough to sign up for that MNF deal would decide winning is better than losing and sign up for the bowl package before I have a bad run on Mondays and they die of thirst.

BTW, we won again last Monday AND are 1-0 in hoops this week. Sign up and get water logged by Christmas.

THE WEEKEND IS HERE !!

I am excited about this weekend.

There are a few things I really love about being a parent. One of them is the fact that I really feel like I can teach them a few things that will help them be better people. This weekend I get to give a lesson that I think is VERY important and one that I struggle with myself.

We are all given a lot of blessings and this is the time of the year we all need to reflect on those blessings. For example..

I am thankful that my daughter isn't one of those girls I wrote about in my last blog!

I am thankful that I haven't lost ALL of my hair yet. I few years ago it looked like I would be bald by now BUT I stopped losing my hair and for that I am thankful.

and

I am thankful that they make jeans that fit me. I use to wear 52-30 pants. Try getting those at Dillards. I now wear 42-32 and for that I am thankful.

This weekend my kids and I are going to go buy presents for people that are less fortunate than we are. It is hard to make kids see that there are people that don't have the things they need.

I think this is a great way to help them understand how lucky they are. I tell them that they are blessed and that I let them eat my food and live in my house. While I spend the time we have together shopping, I will be explaining to them that it is a CHOICE that I make to allow them to live with my wife and I. AND that they better be nice or I may change my mind. I didn't read this theory in any parenting books but it works for me.

Count your blessings this weekend.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!

Well, I have now seen it all. Before I get into this entry, I want to warn ALL of you. I consider myself a pretty normal guy that has an open mind about most things. My blog entries are usually about normal stuff i.e. football, meercats and little league. I couldn't sleep tonight and so I started looking around the internet for some stuff on the bowls. Well in the most horrible game of "6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon" you can imagine, I stumbled onto this...

I went to www.cbssportsline.com got the info and then decided to go to www.jimtraber.com. While looking around there I was drawn to something on www.youtube.com called "2 girls 1 cup reaction". This is where it gets harry!!

I went to www.youtube.com and watched these normal people reacting to something that seemed to be the most horrible thing they had ever seen. After watching about 4 or 5 peoples reaction to whatever "2 girls 1 cup " was I couldn't help but to want to watch it myself. Even though every bone in my body told me to turn off the computer and not watch. Even though their reaction was awful. Even though some of the people threw up while watching, Even though some people physically couldn't watch..I HAD TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE WATCHING!!!

I'm a big boy, how bad could it be?

Well let me tell you, it can be really bad!

I am telling you again, this is not for children, adults, men, women or anyone.

If you are easily offended, don't watch.

If you have a weak stomach, don't watch.

If you are anyone that hasn't already watched...DON'T WATCH!!!

So at 1:20 am on Thursday night I went to this website ( website not listed because material is too offensive) and watched.

If curiosity has gotten the best of you and you HAVE to view the worst thing on the web, you can probably figure out the name of the website or email me @ info@thefatjack.com and I will give it to you. I want you to think about what you are doing so I am not going to list it.

I AM WARNING YOU, PLEASE DO NOT GO AND WATCH THIS! Please don't go watch this! again...PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS!!.

Ok, if you must go watch, do yourself a favor and first go to youtube.com and watch other peoples reaction to this.

Now for those of you that were strong enough to NOT go and watch, I want to wish you a great weekend and tell you that we are 2-0 in football this week and are 4-2 in hoops this week AND because you had the strength to not be tempted to watch, you have earned a double scoop of ice cream after dinner tonight. Forget about your diet and eat up! You have earned it.

Some of you will ask "Jack, if you hate this soooo much, why put it on your blog?"

The answer is simple. It is 3 am. I now can't go to sleep. The images are burned in my brain and there are some messed up freaky people out there. I think all of you need to be aware of, I am going to go in and kiss my babies on the head and thank God I am not involved in that freaky stuff!

For those of you that watched, all I can say is I am sorry, I told you not to watch and I will never do research for the bowl games after 1am again.

I cant go to sleep now and am questioning everything I know about human behavior!

Have a good weekend, glad I could help you all see how normal YOU really are.

CLARIFICATION TO LAST ENTRY

In my last entry, the letters when I was writing the blog were much more slanted than they transferred over to this page.

To better understand my frustration with the slanted letters I would ask you to go back and read the previous entry but this time lean your head to the right until your ear touches your shoulder.Although this may cause you to have a "crick" in your neck, I think it will better illustrate the drastic slant in the letters I was having to deal with when writing the last blog entry.

I will wait while you read it again with your head tilted to the right.....

I hope that clears it up.

NORMAN VS DALLAS

I went to Dallas yesterday to look @ a new car.   What in the hell is going on with my font!!?  I hate computers, I sat down to compare some of the things I saw in Dallas to Oklahoma and I must have hit a button on my computer because my letters are slanted now!  I don't know what I did to get them slanted so I sure the hell cant get them unslanted!  I think it should be much harder to get your letters changed than it is. What if this was a very important letter, to a very important person who HATED slanted letters? I would have to shut down the computer and start over. All of this because the brilliant people that made computers thought it would be nice to be able to change the way your letters look simply be breathing on the keyboard!!!

It looks like I am writing something that belongs in the Bible!!

.....and John looked at the cup and said drink in thy name as it ....

See what I mean.

I have lost the inspiration. Dallas was fine Oklahoma is fine blah blah blah.

We did win Monday night, We Went 3-1 last Saturday and won an extra unit with Washington +14 over Hawaii.Get signed up and I am going to ask geeves how to fix this stupid Bible font. Talk to you tomorrow.

BUSY WEEKEND BUT NOT TOO BUSY

Now that my little league coaching has slowed down, I have had a little more time to play some poker when I am not breaking down the games. I have been going to Vegas and playing 100-200 limit hold-em or 25-50 PLO for about 10 years. Oklahoma now has poker and that combined with the explosion of TV poker has made for an interesting few years. Poker is a lot like golf, most players think they are a lot better than they actually are and there are lots of "good" players and very few "great" players. The most interesting thing about poker, are the players. Anyone with the money can play and there are all types of people. One time, I was playing and a guy (after losing a big pot) decided to go to the bathroom all over himself! That was odd enough but after the table learned what he had done the only thing people said to him was "it's your bet." I am hosting a poker tournament @ the Lucky Star Casino tomorrow called The Fat Jack's Just in Time for Christmas, 15,000.00 Free Roll. I love these events because I get the chance to talk to a lot of poker players, some of which are clients, and get out of the office on a Saturday. These events are ALWAYS sold out and great for myself and the casino. We are giving away a lot of money and the cash games should be good.

Tomorrow is a big day. The first day of December and our first release of a game in which we press our bet up. Winning will get the holiday season off to a good start.

Taking the family to breakfast and then poker after that. If nobody wets themselves it should be a good day.

FOOTBALL AND SHOPPING

Well, Thanksgiving is over. That means 2 things. Bowl season is right around the corner and its time to start thinking about Christmas. I really think this is one of those situations that if you combined the best of Christmas, Hanukkah and Festivus you would have a better holiday for everyone. Jewish people have the best idea about presents. A gift each day for a couple of weeks is a much better idea than a lot of gifts on one day. If you have kids you know what I mean. It is hard to make kids see the value of the giving when all it seems like they are doing is receiving. The best part of Christmas is why we celebrate it. The birth of Jesus Christ is the best reason I can think of to shut down the banks and give most people the day off. I do love some of the qualities of Frank Costanza's Festivus. I mean poles are cheaper than trees and better for the environment and I would fair pretty well in the "feats of strength" part of the celebration. For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about, rent season 2 of Seinfeld.

For those of you that are betting on the games you need to sign up now! We rebounded from our worst week in 3 seasons with another winning week. I have been pretty good over the last 10 seasons of following up bad weeks with good ones. I know a lot of you are thinking of quiting because of the holidays. Keep one thing in mind, It is not the betting your wife hates, its the losing. If you start winning, I promise you wife's view of your hobby will change.

Happy shopping and have a good week.

THANKSGIVING TURKEY RETRACTION

After a heated pre-thanksgiving debate with Mrs. Fat Jack, I am retracting the following from the last blog entry entitled THANKSGIVING AND TURKEYS.

1. I have never spent A LOT of time with a group of turkeys. Most of my turkey research comes from TV and there is a small possibility that I watched a group of dumb or mentally retarded turkeys.

2. Due to this fact, there is a small chance that some turkeys are smarter than pigs or cows. Since this is a possible, I had no right to call ALL turkeys "stupid" and "dumb".

3. God created turkeys so they do have value.

Now I hope we can put all of this turkey slamming behind us and my wife will get back in the kitchen and please finish my fruit salad.

Nobody wins when Mrs. Fat Jack goes on a cooking strike!!!

Happy Thanksgiving.

THANKSGIVING TURKEYS

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I bet if you asked most people why we celebrate Thanksgiving, they would need to think for a second before answering. I mean most people KNOW why we have Thanksgiving but it is one of the only holidays that we don't do anything to remember the event that started it all. Easter, we go to church. Labor Day- we don't work. Memorial Day- We go to graves and honor the fallen men and women that made it where we can again, not work. Even with birthdays, we put the # of candles that show our age. At least until you turn 50 or so. But Thanksgiving,we don't do anything but eat and watch football. I am sure the meal has some symbolic value but I am also sure the pilgrims didn't have access to my sweet cornbread dressing and fruit salad. The ONLY thing I can see the pilgrims eating that we eat is the turkey.

Now that we are on the subject of turkeys let me say, I have watched the last cooking show I am going to sit through that shows people what they can make if they don't want to cook turkey. I wondered why anyone would not want to have turkey at Thanksgiving! That's like having birthday cake without candles or having Easter without eggs. That is just plain crazy!! Apparently some vegetarians are offended when turkey is served. Well, I am offended when a vegetarian is invited to Thanksgiving dinner but I just keep my mouth shut and eat my pie. By the way, have you ever been around turkeys? I mean really spent some time with one? Well, I have and they are the dumbest animals in the world! One turkey does something and ALL of the other turkeys do exactly the same thing. It is "chasing the jones'" in its purest form. I would go so far to say that if there is one animal that deserves to be eaten, its the turkey. Anything that dumb needs to taste good to serve any purpose on the earth. I don't see cows or pigs getting presidential pardons. Both of those animals are A LOT smarter than a turkey. So this year on Thanksgiving, count your blessings and thank God that he made a bird that is that stupid and that worthless yet so damn tasty!! And enjoy your turkey. Happy Thanksgiving and God bless you all.

DETROIT+3 1/2,ARIZONA STATE+3 AND THE ARIZONA STATE GAME TO GO UNDER 49 POINTS.

MY THANKSGIVING PARLAY FOR YOU. GOOD LUCK!!

MY TRIP TO KNOXVILLE

Last week I went to Knoxville, Tennessee. I did some radio stuff, talked to some clients, and had a good time. I took my son with me. Kind of a "go to work with daddy" trip. I struggle with how much to let my kids know about what I do. I think the guy that owns The Jack Daniels Company might can relate. You would want to show your son how what you do is helpful and profitable but worry about him showing up at the whiskey factory ass hammered drunk yelling "give me another bottle! Do you know who I am?" As in a lot of businesses, moderation and discipline are keys to success.

I took 3 things from Knoxville.

1. They are some of the kindest people around. Although I don't subscribe to this school of thinking, people in Oklahoma pride themselves on being polite and nice to strangers. The people in Knoxville are easy going and seem to care about only two things, manners and Tennessee football.

2.The women are HOT. I mean all of the women. From 21-60 years old. It doesn't matter what they were wearing. During the football game, EVERYONE was wearing orange. Orange is not a flattering color on most people but somehow these ladies pulled it off. Southern beauty is alive and well in Knoxville.

3. EVERYONE in Knoxville LOVES Tennessee football. People in Oklahoma and most parts of the country love a few teams. There isn't a Tennessee State to balance out the team spirit. The evening news started "54 people were killed downtown, in a tragic bullfighting accident ,BUT first lets see how the Vols did today!" Of course, I'm kidding, but it really is Vols football first and everything else second.

I try to get out to a lot of the cities that run my show because I like to meet my clients, face to face. I pride myself on being able to look someone in the eye and tell if they are full of s*** and I think a lot of my clients like to be able to look me in the eye and know I am on their team and I do truly care if they win.

Maybe that's just a southern thing but it did get my son and I to beautiful Knoxville.

After the horrible week I won my Monday night selection running my MNF record to 11-3 AND won again in basketball! Things are back on track and I am looking for a great Thanksgiving weekend.

MY WORST WEEK IN 2 YEARS.JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!YEE HEE!!

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. I dropped off one of those football weeks that will make even the most disciplined gambler ask themselves " why in the world would I choose to do this?" I lost Monday night( my 3rd loss of the season and only 5th in the last 2), I had Oregon on Thursday night (lost my QB in the first quarter), Saturday, I didn't get my first win until the sun had gone down and I would tell you about my NFL wins, except I didn't have any!!!!OUCH!!!

Now for most handicappers and almost all gamblers the week I had is common place. They have these once a month or so.  I view if a little different. Saying " well it happens to everyone" would be fine if I was just your average bettor.I feel like since I charge money for my picks I am required to do better than that. It would be like you going to the doctor for a tummy tuck to lose a few LBS and waking up to see your right arm is gone and the nurse saying "it happens to everyone, we cant get it right every time!"  You are paying them to do a job and when they fail its not ok.  Thats not to say I win every day or every week but I hold myself to a higher standard than most handicappers. The only saving grace is that I did go 8-3 in the last 8 days of basketball selections (thank God for that!!) AND I was 7-3 last week so we just had to give back that profit.

The only people that don't care about that AT ALL, are the ones that waited to sign up until last Thursday or Friday. They were welcomed to the Fat Jack Family with a heart felt " good luck" and a big time losing weekend!!!! SH*/0!!0/*(**)##!!!2 **!!!!!

Ok enough of that. It is a marathon and not a sprint.I will take care of the new clients, the older clients know "it is gambling" and also know I rarely have those weeks. I will turn it around starting today and continue what has been a good season overall AND  if I can keep the hoops going at this high % the month looks great!!

If you are thinking about signing up. You waited just long enough to miss out on that week and I ALWAYS win with tryptophan in my system!! You can get the rest of the month hoops and football for only 199.00.

another entry coming tomorrow!!!

HOOPS,FOOTBALL AND THE WEEKEND

This will be short and sweet. Basketball has started. For most people this isn't a big deal. For me it means a lot more work. Basketball is very profitable but has a lot more volatility than football. More risk but more reward. That formula means more pressure for me to get it right, and get it right early. Guys will try basketball but if you don't win early, they will jump off the train and only play the football selections. It is a long season and normally a very profitable one.

I am going to Knoxville tomorrow to meet some of my clients and do some pre-game radio for the Tenn vs. Vandy game. I am taking my 8 year old son and am very excited. We have never been to Tennessee but if they have a store where I can buy him all you can eat chips and all you can drink root beer, he is guaranteed to have a good time. I lost my first Monday night game in 8 weeks. I really enjoy the week a lot more when I win Monday nights. It makes the week better and a lead going into the weekend is a always a nice thing. The weekend card looks good so we have a good chance to have another winning week.

In the 'things I don't understand" file.- The lead story on the local news is the story of a skin head that went out and killed a homosexual that he had never met. Guys that decide to do this clearly haven't thought it through. I mean the skin heads were sitting around hating the thought of men having sex with each other. They put down their swastikas, grabbed a beer and went looking for a man that likes to have sex with another man. When they found one they stole his car, kidnapped him and killed him. If they had bothered to buy a television and turned on CSI they would have known they were going to get caught and be put on trial for murdering a man that has sex with other men. When convicted they are going to go spend the rest of their life in jail where they will, you guessed it .....have sex with other men. Talk about a bad circle of life!!

BUSY WEEK BUT A GOOD ONE

I am sorry for the delay on the blog updates. It is weird, I am not sure who is reading these entries but I do feel an obligation to keep them current. Lets start with the picks. 7-3 last week. For those of you that don't bet on the games, that is a good week. All of our wins were easy and all of all of the losses were easy. That is a good thing. The worst thing you can have is a game that looks great and then turns out to be a loss. That takes some of the fun out of gambling. It is better to have releases like Boise State over Utah State(Boise won by 50) and losses like S Miss over Memphis ( S Miss was a big favorite and lost the game.) Either way they were easy and when you have 7 wins and only 3 losses, that is a good week.

I coached my son in the Norman 8 year old flag football Super Bowl. Coaching this team has been quite a learning experience. I have talked about the behavior of some of the parents and other coaches but I will tell you that the team we played had great parents, players and the classiest coaches of any of the teams we faced. Let that be a lesson to all of you little league coaches, if you allow the kids to have fun and act like an adult, you may find yourself in the championship game. If you scream like a spoiled idiot when you are coaching you will probably find yourself watching the big game from the sidelines and being talked about in some idiots blog. The kids will keep reminding you that they are kids if you will just listen to them. We were getting ready to play the "big game" and I told our team we were going to quickly go over and listen to the National Anthem, the officials were going to go over a couple of things and then we were going to come back over to the field and " win a championship". I thought I had given a great speech that was sure to inspire and instruct our team all at the same time. When I was done with my speech, a hand rose from one of my players. I asked him what his question was. I was sure it would be about rather we were going on offense or where he would be playing in the game. He looked at me and said "Coach Fat Jack will there be snacks served at the flag thing?" I responded "Justin, I love where your head is at but regretfully, no snacks until after the game." The parents really care about the game but the kids are just looking for a good snack.

I went to Tulsa for a couple of reasons but only played a few hours of poker. There was a good $50.00 to $300.00 A-5 Triple Draw game and I did make some money. If you don't know what that means, it ok . You just haven't played a lot of cash game poker. Which for a lot of people is a good thing.

I will have another entry Wednesday as I have a few things I think will entertain. Have a good week and may all of your snacks be great this week.

Oh, for those of you that care , we did win the championship. My son got a big trophy and I wasn't crowned coach of the year. No big upset there.

LITTLE LEAGUE= LITTLE CLASS

I know this is talked about a lot but I am seeing some things I have heard about, for the first time.

I have 2 children. My daughter is 5 and is a world class soccer player. By "world class," I mean, she is MY favorite soccer player in the entire world. Pele is a distant second. Her teams don't keep score and I like it that way. After each game, the girls would look at me and ask, "coach Fat Jack, did we win?" As luck would have it, we DID win every game no matter how many goals we scored. Everyone left happy.

Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those "everyone deserves a trophy" kind of guys. In fact (not to brag) I was on a number of state championship teams growing up, won the state 12 years and under Championship in wrestling (heavyweight division), of course, was a team captain and MVP of my 6A football team, a member of the All Decade Norman High football team 1980-1989, signed a football scholarship coming out of high school, and won a number of other awards in sports during my life. So, I do understand the benefits to winning while growing up.

What I don't understand are some of the people that show up to my sons football games. There is more screaming at these games than at a showing of Saw IV. You might be thinking, it must be the trailer park parents that are looking for their kids to be a meal ticket. Yes, there are some of those but I am most surprised by the successful people. These are lawyers, judges, doctors etc. that are acting like they have bet their last dollar on their kids team! The other night there was a close play in the end zone. It appeared our player might have stepped on the back line when catching a pass. The other coach and about 3 of the other teams parents started acting like their mouth was on fire and began screaming at these officials. Normally, I mind my own business when controversy breaks out but it was too much. I was coaching our team so I started screaming at the $7.00/hour refs, " GO TO THE INSTANT REPLAY!!" Then I went over to the coach on the other team and said "THROW THE RED FLAG!! I AM SURE YOU ARE RIGHT JUST MAKE THEM LOOK AT THE TAPE!!!" The coaches and parents looked at me like I was on fire.

I guess what I am saying is that when YOU as a parent are more upset and vocal than the 8 year old players on the team, something is wrong. Whatever happened to "show some composure in the eyes of controversy?" How about "show some class when things don't go your way." and " you can tell a lot about a person by watching them when things aren't going their way?" These are the things I took away from playing sports. It is easy to be a good winner but how you handle yourself when you are losing shows your true colors. It seems these most important rules are the hardest to teach my child when a grown successful man is throwing a fit at an 8 year old flag football game.

By the way...some of you guys may read this and disagree with me saying "I'm not a loser for yelling when my kids get a bad call." If your kid us under 16 years old...Look in the mirror and tell yourself " I am the loser he is talking about." and then show some class at the next game. Your kids will thank you later.

SPAM EMAILS AND MY PACKAGE IS FINE!!!!

Now, I can take this topic a few different ways. I can make it rated PG, R or even worse. It is this fact that I have to made it a topic in my blog.

The old saying "there is a sucker born everyday" must be on the wall of every office that sends out this junk. Most of us that get these emails immediately delete them, but they must work, otherwise they wouldn't be sending them. I am fascinated by the companies that have decided that this is the mark their company wants to leave on the world. If ALL spam emails were from fraudulent companies it would be easier to shut the spam down. The fact is some well known companies use this as a way of invading us. I would think a company that, gave you a snickers candy bar and then tells you if you to send 5 candy bars to 5 of your friends, you would be guaranteed 50 candy bars in one month, that would work. That scheme would be much better than the ones I keep getting.

I get around 40-60 spam emails per day around 30% are from Nigeria or some country that wants to give me untold riches. I pass. 10% are from some companies that are trying spam as a form of advertising but the bulk of the emails are from Viagra or some penis enlargement scheme. Now, I have never checked into penis growth stuff on my computer. I have never sent away for any "bigger is better" potion. In fact, I thought I was doing fine in that area. I know we all measure from different points but I think I am fine no matter what system you are using to measure. Clearly. the word in the spam offices is that I need help! Even if I needed help, I have now been married for 14 years and my wife knows what she is getting each time we say goodnight so it might just confuse things if I was a different size. I think I may return one of the emails that says "I am married and my wife knows its too late for repair." I wish Viagra would back off as well. I definitely don't need that. In fact if they make an "Anti Viagra" they might want to send me a free sample of that.

I know most of you are saying "this is WAY too much information!" I agree and as soon as the spam stops I will stop.

New England plays Indy today. This is going to be a great game and to be honest with you I have no idea who is going to win. We won again yesterday and are looking to having another winning week if today goes well.

Denver+3, Houston+3 and the Tampa Bay game to have more than 38 points. These are the 3 releases for today.

Consider them a free gift from the anti spam handicapper. Hope your week goes well. Going to Tulsa for a poker tournament this week. I will let you know how it is going.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING

If I have learned one thing in life: timing is everything.

The first time I met "Mrs Fat Jack", she walked into a restaurant I was working at in college. While I was working, she was with a big group of people that were drinking their way through Oklahoma City. Now, if she had come in without her friend named "liquid courage" she might not have flagged me down to tell me how hot I was. She would have left and we wouldn't be together 15 years later. Her drunk, me looking good...timing.

Last week, my son's 8 year old flag football team had their 8th game of the season. The team was 8-0 and feeling great about themselves. Their coach had to go out of town on business and asked if I would run the team for this game. I am sure he thought "the team is undefeated, he is the Fat Jack so he must know a lot about football. What is the worst thing that can happen?" I agreed, also thinking the same thing. Well, as luck would have it, my 2 best players didn't get the memo that I was going to need them. They didn't show. I held the play book upside down more than once showing our team the plays and we forgot how to pull flags. By the end of the game I had 8 little boys looking at me crying and begging me not to put them back in the game. We are now 8-1. If I had my best players OR our coach would have been in town, it wouldn't be my fault we aren't going to make 8 year old flag football history! Timing.

Timing has also been a big story with my service this season. If you were one of those guys that wanted to get signed up before the season in order to get all the selections, which is normally the best thing to do, you were rewarded with a below average September. Those that waited until October 1 were given a 27-15 record. We won every Monday night ,went 7-2 in weekday games, turned a profit in both NCAA and NFL games and are ready for a huge November. Luckily, I gave all of the Sept clients 10 free days of service in October and we are all into profit now.

Have a great week and a Happy Halloween.

THE WEEK OF HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION FEELING LIKE HANUKKAH

Well, Halloween is Wednesday but now that I have kids Halloween and all holidays, for that matter, feel more like Hanukkah. I know Christmas is a week long celebration. I have gotten used to that. In fact, if you have divorced parents, Christmas can feel more like summer vacation than Jesus birthday. We might should add vacation bible school in the middle of Christmas season to remind the kids why we are out of school in the first place.

Birthdays are a week long as well. With the party (not on a school night),a night with the grandparents and the actual day the child was born. The week is a nice celebration for the child. I have always felt on birthdays we should shower the mother with presents. After all she DID all the work.

That brings me to Halloween. Is this really a holiday we need to give the entire week to? I am not even sure it is a holiday that is good. Someone told me it was a holiday to celebrate demons and the devil. I don't like either of them. That is probably not the truth because if was a celebration of those things, the houses would give out dead birds or logs of fire instead of candy. Candy is the opposite of the devil. Well, I am not sure it is worth throwing a big fit about and even if I did I am afraid my wife and kids would just celebrate it without me. I guess I will just wait for the kids to bring the candy home.

We went 26-15 in October and if you played my opinions you added another 7 wins. For those of you that don't bet on games, that is a good month. Think of it this way, if you bet a $100.00 on each of my picks in October, you could pay for A LOT of Halloween candy!

Have a great week and get signed up for a big November.

CHAT ROOM LOSER POST-ERS

Well, I won again on Monday night and things are going good. I thought it would be tough to piss me off but little did I know a storm was brewing. I went to listen to this weeks show in the pod cast section of the website and somehow we had left the door from the loser convention open and they were allowed to come on MY website and talk about me.

I have a real problem with nameless, faceless losers that can say anything they want about people in these chat rooms. What we don't know is that they are on the Kinkos computer on their way back to the Jesus House, yet somehow we give them validity to what they are saying. One of the things I had to get used to when starting this business were that people constantly question my record and integrity. I understand the record deal. I have talked about the fact that the only people that will believe my record are the ones that are members of my service. There are over 1000 current clients. The problem is that they have a life and aren't going to spend a lot of time defending me to idiots, so the majority of comments when my name comes up are going to be negative. Don't get me wrong, I don't want my clients to waste their time trying to discredit the thousands of post-ers that will only say bad things. It is a little like trying to fight a swarm of bees with a fly swatter.

I do think it is funny that ALL of the bad posts are from guys that "signed up for a weekend or the week" or better yet "have a friend or brother that was with his service". Why do you think that is? Could it be that the losers aren't members of the service or got on during a bad stretch? After all, I think I have done a good job at pointing out the fact that we don't win everyday or even every week. I DO turn a profit most every year.

The fact is most of these post-ers are guys that live in my mobile home park, sell bras door to door and dream of what might have been if they had only got the chance in high school. Kind of like Napoleon Dynamite's brother.

The fact is, I am winning again this season, I have 250 more clients than I had this time last season and have grown an average of 69% each of the last 5 seasons. I am a regular guest on 16 different sports shows (some I pay for, however most are free) around the country and run my show in 21 different cities. I have clients from 41 states and 18 from Canada. I am winning at betting on sports and more gamblers from around the country are finding that out each day. I am going to be around for a LONG time and their isn't a damn thing the inbred, angry crack head post-ers can do about it.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I promise the next entry will be much happier.

If you are betting on the games I am 23-11 in October so get signed up OR tell the girl at Kinkos I said Hi.

DISCRIMATION FAT STYLE

We had another winning week. Our October record is now an impressive 22-11. We turned a profit both Sat and Sunday and I am feeling good about things. A cold front rolled through my area last night. Some people love it when the seasons change but for me it is the time of the year I realize how fat I am. Just as the birds are flying south for the winter I am reminded that I am so fat that the major clothing labels don't feel I am worthy of getting their good styles. During the summer I wear silk shorts and t-shirts but in the winter I have to wear jeans or pants and something with sleeves. Oh sure, they throw out some XXL and XXXL clothes but it is never the good patterns. They are the patterns that they think fat people love to wear. You know what I'm talking about, think about a fat guy you know. He isn't wearing the same clothes you are, he is either wearing solid shirts that accent his belly or shirts that John Candy wore in Summer Vacation that look like a rainbow exploded on his plaid shirt. How about something in the middle? How about the same stuff they make in medium? Next time you are in the mall go over to the "regular" size clothes and then go over to the fat clothes corner. There is a big difference. I won't even get into pants. All I am saying is just because I am fat doesn't mean I don't want to look beautiful !lol. I bet if Ralph Lauren or Cutter or Buck were fat, I would have a better selection of winter clothes.

I have started thinking about basketball. I have made a lot of money over the last 3 years playing the basketball games and I am starting to get excited. If I could pick a sport to play for a living I might pick basketball. They are in good shape and I heard their planes they fly on are great. I would still have the clothes issues I have now but at least I could say, "it's the price I pay to be a ball player". Have a great week.

STONE THROWING

I was driving down the road the other day and saw a sign on a church that said "gambling is a sure way to get nothing for something." Now, at first I laughed because gambling is a lot like angels. Yes, Angels. The only people that believe in angels are the ones that have seen or been touched by them. Likewise, the only people that think that you can make money in some form of gambling are those that have experienced it first hand. Now I don't blame the church for trying to expose the people driving down the highway to the pitfalls of gambling but I am not sure their sign may do more harm than good. I mean think about it, there are 3 types of people that will read this sign: 1. the conservative "non gambler"- he agrees with the sign but would never gamble and doesn't give the sign much thought. 2. the closet gambler- he may agree with the sign but is still going to gamble because he knows the guy that made the sign doesn't know what he is talking about and 3. The gamblers- these are the guys that will try and bet each other how long it will be before someone changes the order of the words and the sign will read "gambling is a sure way to get SOMETHING for NOTHING."

I think the people that run that church might be better served to put up a sign that says " too much to drink? made your last bet? don't know where to turn? MAKE A RIGHT TURN HERE. WE CAN HELP."

The problem people have isn't with gambling or drinking or the stock market. The problem is with the excessive nature in which they do these things. For most people, gambling is a great way to have some fun and YES make some money.

Maybe the sign should just say "thou shall not put any other Gods before me."

We are 18-8 in the month of October and YES we are making money gambling. If you want to get signed up and win with us do it today. If you don't, please gamble within your means and don't drink and gamble at the same time. If you feel you may have a problem call and get help.

WINNERS,LOSERS AND OTHERS

We are heading into another weekend and things are going well. I am 16-8 against the spread in October and this weekends games look good.

LOSER

I was watching TV tonight and the guy from NBC was interviewing the Senator that was accused of trying to have sex in an airport bathroom. Now, I consider myself open minded about that stuff and I am one of those guys that feels a guy is innocent until proven guilty. BUT, this guy is simply lying! Don't get me wrong, if I was caught trying to have "something " in an airport bathroom, I would lie too. I guess my problem is, it is one thing to lie to your family about which team you play for but something entirely different to go on tv and tell people that voted you into office that it was a mistake and everything is ok. He is insulting every man that has ever gone to the bathroom in an airport. NO straight guy goes into a stall, rubs legs with the guy next to you and reaches under the stall to say HI! ...Not that there's anything wrong with it.

WINNERS

My daughters 5 year old soccer team, the pink cheetah girls, will be wrapping up their season this weekend. I always told myself that I would NEVER coach my kids sports. I am not sure why I felt so strong about it. It may be that my dad never coached me and I turned out fine. However, I will tell you that it has been the highlight of my fall. I think it has helped my business because it has given me the chance to spend a couple of hours a week with little people that couldn't care less about the spreads or football games. They only cared about fashion, cheers and having fun. It has helped me be more balanced this season. Which has helped me be better at picking winners and have more fun the first month of the season. I will miss our hour together each week.

OTHERS

Richard Simmons was on Letterman tonight. He is wearing red striped running shorts and a bedazzled red tank top. I think it is interesting that society shuns a senator for being gay but embraces a guy that definitely has been in a few airport bathrooms. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't think I will be having either of them over for dinner.

Sorry I didn't have a lot today but I have a few things brewing that will make for interesting blogging!!

I am launching a new website in December. I am very excited about it and consider yourself invited to the big launch party. Keep checking for the "drop date" of www.peoplethathavetriedtoscrewme.com I also bought www.peoplethathavetriedtoscrewme.net I think it is going to be huge so get ready!! Have a great week and get signed up. We are winning 2 out of every 3 games I release. Not bad for a hetarosexual 5 year old girls soccer coach!

A COUPLE OF THIN LINES

Some days remind me what a thin line it is between a good day and a bad day. If you think about it there are just 3 games difference from a 8-2 week and a 5-5 week. Last Saturday we had one of those games that really changed the feeling about the day. Oklahoma University was giving 12 points to Missouri. They missed 2 extra points and had 2 failed two point conversions. To make matters worse Missouri scored with 12 seconds left to only lose by 10!! OUCH!! The fact is he didn't even score but the replay officials had already left the stadium to get a good seat to watch the Game Day crew wrap up the days scores! That game took us from 4-2 on Sat. to 3-3. Boy there is a big difference, between 4-2 and 3-3. If we were in the 9th grade and talking in "make out" terms. It is the difference between getting to second base with the prom queen and kissing your sister on the cheek because she was voted prom queen. A thin line makes a big difference!!!

Another thin line is the seam in the butt of my silk Tommy Bahama shorts. Even though I know silk shorts are thin I continue to wear them without underwear.Well Friday, that thin line broke and for all of you out there that had to pay the price of looking at the back of my shorts on Friday. I am sorry. I knew it was windy Friday but something DID feel different. A thin line indeed.

Even with the bad luck,we are still 14-7 in October. I am going to Church today and pray wisdom for myself and patience for the people in the factory that make my Tommy Bahama shorts. My life is much better when they take their time in sewing my thin line...in my behind!!

Thats all I've got on Sunday morning. Have a good day and count your blessings.

JUST SOME THOUGHTS AND LOOKING FOR ANOTHER BIG WEEK

I was reading back through the other entries in the blog and it occurred to me that there is more talk about my life and less about betting and football. At first I thought I might need to fix that but then I started thinking about what makes me good at picking winners against the spread. The truth is there are a lot of people that could beat me in a trivia contest. If all it took to pick winners was a knowledge of sports than there would be A LOT of other guys that would win. The fact is the reason I went 10-2 last week and consistently win betting on games has less to do with the information out there and more to do with being able to separate the good info from the info that the losers see as important. So, if I came on here and talked about the turnovers and injuries and match ups, I would not be giving you any info you couldn't get by turning on any of the sports talk shows or reading the paper. I am going to use this forum for other reasons, if you want stats turn on the radio. When we get to the spring I will be playing in a lot of the WSOP poker series events and we will talk more about gambling then.

Here are a few things I am thinking about today.

1. I don't understand how a straight man can walk into an airport bathroom and "somehow" end up doing sexual things with another man. I have been in lots of airport bathrooms and NEVER had any sexual things happen. I am going to start holding it until I get to the hotel.

2. I think I may be losing my hair. I don't want to be one of those guys that do the "comb over" and I don't think it is a big enough deal to go to a hair doctor or join a hair club but I think I am going to be an UGLY bald man. My head isn't a great shape and I feel like I may look like King Kong Bundy. That's not sexy.

3. Buffalo is the worst coached team I have ever seen. It would be hard to be a fan of theirs with that coaching staff.

4. Why don't those people that are great at guitar hero spend the same amount of time learning to play the actual guitar. It seems to me that would be time better spent. You never show up at a party and someone says "play me something on that guitar hero!" or " I get weak in the knees when you are playing guitar hero!"

5. I am thinking about buying a bike and starting to ride for exercise. I wish they would make a bike seat that was in the shape of a lazy boy recliner. That would really cut down on the rash I always get when I ride.

That's all for now.have a great day!!

I am 11-3 in the month of October and this week looks great. Call and get signed up.

FANS AND THE THINGS THEY SAY

I am back from Dallas where I went to my first and only game I will attend (in person) this season. Saturdays and Sundays are spent in front of 6 TV's in my office. Going to the games would be like an options trader hanging around on the steps of the NYSE. It might be fun but you get a better picture of where the money can be made by watching lots of games. I do love to listen to the fans while at the games. For some, I am sure it is a release from their everyday lives. For others, I am sure they have Tourette Syndrome and need medication. Saturday,"catch the ball, you stupid f******,donkey s**** eating ,piece of coc**8 eating bit**!!" Could be heard echoing through the Cotton Bowl. I understand passion but I am not sure if I will ever be able to take my kids to one of the best sporting events in the country. I think I might ease them in by letting them watch Eddie Murphy Raw. Then take them on a pirate ship . Both of these things are tame compared to the Tourette's going around that stadium. And the shirts! I have a shirt that says "I am your girlfriends pimp". I am not sure where I got it and I AM sure I will never wear it but if I wanted to, OU vs. Texas would be the place. I wouldn't even stand out. I guess what I am trying to say is, if you go to a football game, please try and remember that just because your children may be in jail or on a pole, some of us our still trying to teach our kids how to behave. I guess we could leave them at home but it would be nice to take my son to one of the neatest games on the planet.

I told you we were having a great week and it is continuing! 8-2 this week, as of Sunday afternoon. If you are betting on the games, get signed up. Have a good week.

Things going well and bye week for the Pink Cheetah Girls

I'm getting ready for a big weekend. Lots of great games around the country. Friday I am going to Dallas to do a little radio before the OU vs. Texas game and the State Fair of Texas is one of my favorite stops in the fall. I have been trying to watch what I eat for the last couple of weeks because each year I seem to gain 15 lbs on this trip. Now a lot of you are saying "15 lbs?" Yes, 15 lbs! That's if I'm lucky. The problem is our routine is a feeding festival. My wife thinks that if we are going to drive more than 15 min. in the car we must have snacks. I saw her walk in the house today with cookie makings and macaroons. I haven't checked the package but I am sure they aren't fat free macaroons. Friday after my radio and handicapping is done we go eat with Jim Traber and family. That is always a big meal because Jim and I sit around as if we are members of the Sopranos and eat ourselves sick. Saturday morning is spent with the breakfast of champions, 3 corn dogs, a turkey leg and at least 3 corns before noon. I like to carb up for the big day. After all the games are done for the day and we are deep into profit, we have a celebration at a place called Fogo De Chao. This is a Brazilian all you can eat steak house. I don't know any Brazilians but if they eat like this each day they must die an obese and constipated death. Oh, well its only once a year and I can't break tradition. The week is off to a great start. I had a winner in each of the weekday games. I continue to offer opinions on the baseball games and they continue to lose! Oh well, If Pete Rose couldn't win money betting on baseball I probably can't either. The football profit will be a nice way to enter, what is typically, a very profitable weekend.

My 5 year old daughters soccer team has a bye week. This is overdue. I have told the girls to "shut down their engines and get themselves back to neutral." We are getting ready for the big playoff push! That is, if we have playoffs. I need to check that out. I am getting really trying to get the girls to be more aggressive and explain it in a way they can understand. I told them "every time they kick the soccer ball, a butterfly gets its wings." I'm not sure they believe me but I would love to see them try and prove me wrong!

We are winning on the week and looking for a big weekend. This is a great time to sign up!

Be safe if you are going anywhere this weekend and remember, the only thing on the roads after midnight are cops and drunks! Be safe.

THOUGHTS ON SATURDAY AND MEERCATS

First off lets talk about Saturday. If their is one thing I have learned about betting on games is that you are going to have days like Saturday. Everything goes wrong, your teams turnover the ball as if they bet on their opposition and all of your close calls are losers. Now when this happens, you have a few options: the option you choose will play an important roll in whether you are a winner or loser at years end. After all, it is easy to make good decisions when you are winning but the sign of a successful gambler is his behavior when things are bad. Most losers will want to "get even NOW!! " I call this the Hawaii syndrome. Guys lose all day and then try and triple up by playing Hawaii University. They don't care who they are playing but this is the last game of the night, most of the time. The second most common thing said at a sports bar after 10pm, behind "I should have asked for that girls number," is "every team that goes to Hawaii is partying and doesn't care about the game!" So they bet Hawaii and hope for the best. This is a bad idea. If things are going bad there is very little chance it will turn around in the Hawaii game. The better option is to understand that "it is gambling" and take your lumps and get them tomorrow. Those close games will even out and if you know what you are doing ( like me). You can have the confidence in knowing that you are going to have more good days than bad and that the only important # is the wins and losses at the end of the season.

I have become addicted to the show Meercat Manor. This is a show where these people go around in some desert following the every move of these little animals that look like squirrels on steroids. They give them names and if you watch you can become attached to these little things. Well if Saturday wasn't bad enough, the head of the Meercat Manor a girl named "flower" was bitten by a king cobra that was trying to eat her new born baby meercats !!! Flower went to try and save them and the damn snake bit her in the head and killed her! So if you lost on Saturday remember, it could be worse. At least you aren't asked to protect your kids from a giant snake while living in an "Africa Hot" desert. That's food for thought.

We have ATLANTA, MINN,SAN DIEGO AND TAMPA on Sunday. I will let you know how it went next time.

LATE SEPTEMBER EBB AND FLOW

I am a firm believer in the powers of the universe and that in life sometimes things will go well and others not so good. Along with decisions we make, the powers around us will help dictate our success. The first few weeks of the season I have been releasing the teams that for one reason or another have been grasping defeat from the jaws of victory. They were doing this by turning the ball over and giving up long special team plays. Don't get me wrong, they were the better team that day but it would be like showing up at a Nascar race and having the best car on the track but forgetting the gas. You have to do the little things correctly to win. I released Syracuse over Illinois in week 3, they lose by 40 then turn around the next week and beat Louisville, I release Duke over Uconn they throw 4 ints and then turn around and beat N'westrn. Well the flow of the universe is beginning to turn and last week we showed a profit and if you add in the Elite selections we had a very nice week. We WILL be into profit by the end of Sept. but it has taken longer than normal. For the most part, guys can see what is going on and are patient. I do feel sorry for the guy that just signed up and had to go down before we go up and may quit. It is hard to help him understand that it is a bad idea to only play the losing weeks and not be around for the great ones. On a side note, I am STILL beating the other 3 services that I judge myself against including a guy that was featured in the Wall Street Journal that dropped off a 0-3 last week in selections and 2-7 in opinions. That is a bad week. !! We are going the right direction now and it is a great time to get signed up.

Unfortunately, as the flow of the selections is getting a lot better, the record for my 5 year old daughters soccer team is flowing in the wrong direction. We don't keep score, but if we did, we had won the first 2 games. Last Saturday was black Saturday and then followed by blacker Sunday. The girls decided to integrate gymnastics into the game. I had trouble telling them that somersaults were not ok because they did do some GREAT flips. Toes were pointed and it really seemed to make them happy. Having fun is our # 1 goal as a squad and it is tough to balance fun with scoring goals. Unfortunately, the other team didn't see the value in gymnastics and scored each time we did our best Mary Lou Rheton impression. Oh well, we will get them this week in both soccer and the football games. One is coming a lot easier than the other these days. Look for a big week with the picks.

Fat Jack's Fat Pigs in a Blanket w/ Super Sweet Barbeque Sauce

Jack's Piggy Recipe

1 pkg. Beef franks
1 pkg. crescent rolls

Week 2 - Coaching

Well, some of you might think this weeks blog would be about the coaching in the games this week. Not quite. I am talking about the coaching of my kids. I feel like Chris Angel Mindfreak aka "The Devil" has come and taken over my life. I declared in early June I would NOT be coaching any of my kids sports. Well, I looked up Sunday after a bad day of picking games and found myself trying to get a 5 year old pink cheetah girl soccer player to stop crying. After a good Saturday betting on games, Sunday had not been that good. I wanted to cry myself but it is hard to start crying when a 5 year old is crying AT YOU. I do think the coaching is a good compliment to the handicapping because win, lose or draw these girls don't care. Helps with perspective. Week 2 was a good week for the public. Public bettor will most weeks lose their money. My clients and I didn't do that bad overall. Nothing a 10-3 week won't cure. I am very confident about this season, my winners have been easy and the losers have had a lot of turnovers. I have been asked to be a regular feature on a "picks" show in Seattle, Washington. I don't like the rain and I don't drink coffee. I hope they know what a hillbilly is and like mobile home park humor otherwise it may be a rainy segment.

Week 2 and start of NFL

Week 1 in the books, didnt go as well as I wanted but didnt hurt us either. Dr. Bob( another handicaper that has a little talent) went 2-8 with his opinions. Not that good. Along with the NCAA kickoff I started coaching Cayties(my 5 year old daughter) soccer team. There were 4 crying fits, 3 storm offs and 1 total "Im not playing anymore!" I have alot to learn about 5 year old soccer. This week looks good in the NFL and NCAA. I will let you know how its going.BTW,5-1 in free winners in the Fat JAck Sports Hour and 3-1 in my weekly radio contests.Season looks good. Got a call from an "Oscar winning actor" He is in it to win it! Need to have a good week because he has friends that need to stop paying there man!!!Betting SMU -17 early.
