As my winter has moved along, I have found I am staying pretty busy. Besides the normal work of finding winners each night in basketball and getting ready for the next Fat Jack Poker tournament at the Lucky Star Casino, I have been getting things ready for the new addition to our family.Fat and Sassy III. My adventures with the Fat an Sassy I and II are pretty well documented by both my radio shows and my record with the US Coast guard but I am determined to make most of the memories with the FNS III good ones. I am going to Tampa on Friday to wrap o up the "to do list" and get ready to close the boat and while I am down there I am going to take my first Navigation and something class. I forget exactly what the class is called but rest assured they are going to cover some stuff I will probably need to know. When I signed up for the class they asked me what my "experience level" was. I asked if the scale was 1-10 or 1 - 100 ? I would guess my experience level is unlike most others so I just told him, I have had a lot of boating experiences with some being good and some being bad. He didnt ask a follow up and I didnt go into detail. Anyway, I should be a much better captain after this weekend.
It has been a strange year in hoops so far. After a great football season with us winning 6 out of every 7 weeks, I have only turned a profit about every other week in hoops. We are up money over the entire season but have had more losing days in the last month then I did in the entire football season. Seriously. On the bad weeks of football we were going 5-7 and lots of 10-3s with 4-1 Saturdays. Hoops have had 1 week that was 16-4 and a 11-3 but have had a lot of 7-5 and 4-7s. Again, we are up money over the entire season but we have had to earn it. Life is always better when we win. I guess that is obvious. this weeks card looks good and March will be here soon. We typically have HUGE March's.
