4-2 SATURDAY AND ISSUES AT SOCCER

We are off to a good start this week but it could be a WHOLE lot better. We had an intentional safety and a TD overturned on Saturday or it would have been a real big day. Oh well, a winning week is a good week.
I went to my 6 year old daughters soccer game yesterday morning. The weather was beautiful but a storm was brewing. We played this team that had " that coach". He was about 30 years old, about 5'9 and 250 lbs. He was decked out in OU gear and I could immediately tell, along with HIS Oklahoma Sooners,he had his sights set on chasing down a 6 year old girls soccer title. His team has 3 girls that had power kicks like Pele and 1 girl with the speed of a leopard and the strength of a lion. They worked together like a "mini soccer symphony" with pinpoint accurate passing and shots that David Beckham would admire. Our team is made up of 6 little girls that love pink, love fashion, love bows in their hair and don't like to sweat. I am positive, their coach had bet 1000s on the game because as the score soared to 14-2 , the words " ONE MORE GOAL" could be heard echoing throughout the soccer complex. I am pretty sure he played his, Soccer Assassins -13 goals and over 16 1/2 goals. During the game, our fans got a little excited about the poor officiating the 12 year old referee was giving us, the fact the other coach was acting like a Jackass and some of our parents dont like to lose either. At half time, our coach, came over and told our parents to stop yelling at the 12 year old official and no matter what their parents threw at us (cans, gum, chairs ect) we needed to act like adults. I might have taken offense to that if I was a parent that cared about 6 year old soccer or if most of his comments weren't directed at his wife. She was the main focus of his lecture. After an hour and 17 min of soccer excitement, it was over. Final score....you know, who gives a crap what the final score was!! They won, we lost, they are still south side idiots that need to get a life and I still don't care about 6 year old soccer!!! Although, Caytie DID look awesome and loved her snack.
We have our first 9 year old tackle football game today. I am the head coach so it may get hot! Have a great day.
